Dodge Chargerĭodge Charger was an important element of the first part of the movie. The scene is brilliantly weird, surreal and funny at the same time. There were a few examples of product placement in Drive Angry: Oakley sunglasses, Dodge Charger, Chevrolet Chevelle and a certain Jack Daniels bottle that had a part in a hilarious gunfight sequence, where Cage shoots about a dozen bad guys while having sex with some blonde girl and drinking whisky at the same time. ![]() To quote my favourite movie critic James Berardinelli: “This is a comic book come to life.” The movie is a combined homage to/parody of ’70s exploitation films, but if you want to enjoy it (at least a bit), you have to take it as it is: an absurd movie with sex, nudity, gore, over-the-top action sequences and violence. In the last years Cage became Hollywood’s laughing stock with a series of failures and weird acting (watch the hilarious video Nicolas Cage losing his shit). Drive Angry is another in line of Nicolas Cage movies that falls in the category of failed attempts to get some success at the box office or on the other hand show some of his acting abilities. ![]()
